When Do We Believe

There are people around the world who are going around asking the question - does God exist.
Does He?

One really doesn't know till one reaches a point where a loved one might be facing a situation, in which to help them might seem like beyond our day to day powers.
That's when we surrender, if we're lucky, to summon the powers that lie beyond us.

Powers that lie beyond us - or so we believe all the while - having effectively cut ourselves off from them in the first place by believing in the initial assumption of having power ourselves.

After all, all is explainable, right?

Multi Tasking

So, you are a multi-tasker.

You can...

1. Read an email
2. Write a cheque
3. Talk over the cell
4. Eat a multigrain low fat sandwich
5. Drink a zero cal cola
6. Say Yes/No to you secy...
...all at the same time.

You are a multi-tasker indeed.

Just look at your body for a moment.
What do you see?

A tummy, arms, legs...

Your body incidentally is made up of 7000,000,000,000 cells.
Don't count the zeros, that's 7 trillion.

7 trillion cells of different types.
Bone marrow.
Brain matter
Skin lining.
Follicle.

And there is stuff that happens inside each cell.
Approximately a few hundred reactions per second in each cell.

That's 7 gazillion reactions per second inside your body.

Coordinated by cells not even related to each other, such that...

you can visit the golf course,
attend the movie premier,
banish poverty from the world....
and also tell yourself that you are a cracking multi-tasker.

All this is coordinated by nature not just in the now, but across time too.

Even as your body renews itself every 7 years (all cells are replaced by new ones), it passes on an inherent natural intelligence so flawlessly...that the new one's which take over, act your age while being new borns themselves!
All that, while carrying on the fever pitch 7 gazillion reactions per second.

Look at what all that natural intelligence manages.

Keeps you alive.
Keeps your arrogance alive.
And does not make a fuss about it.

That must be multi-tasking indeed.

Yet a thought.

Do not test nature on it's capability to juggle.
Make it easy.

You cannot cut out staying alive.
Try cutting out the arrogance.

For running the rest comes naturally to nature.

Leaving Shores

I met naivete today.
It was dressed in T shirt and Jeans.
I met hope today.
It had no problem...
letting me see it smile like beans.

But I was not to be fooled so easily.
I was up in defence fast.
Who cares for a little naivete.
When world goes flying past.

And as for miss hope.
It best be not mistaken.
The world loves its dope.
But carries on unshaken.

So they both smiled,
and did their easygoing number
but my better sense did not let me be taken,
and ignored the faux-classiness monger

But neither naivete nor did hope
take any note
Of the ignore aside.
And continued being themselves
All despite.

Oh my god they laughed
at themselves
And even took their own clothes off

In a slow turn of irony
it was my pate
i found hanging
Like a ha'penny frock

I finally left a comfort
I had for long shores not dared depart...
Weren't those two really just me?
Give-or-take a few years apart!

Losing Sight

(Written to the brief of not using the Sense of Sight)

she peeped inside
she never saw me

people were talking
i couldn't even hear them anymore

her fragrance became the air
it became my breath

no one even noticed

something took me over
even i didn't notice

she walked away
as if nothing happened

that,
was day zero.

day three thousand!

i entered slowly
she didn't see me

she was on the phone
i didn't hear her

i heard her fingers
talk to her long hair

she pulled them over her shoulder
i stood

she kept the phone
she stood

once again, no one noticed

as we slowly took
the breath of our lives

and
memories rolled by
over our cheeks
smooth no more...

fatacckkk

Does a blog too need coconut crackery for an auspicious start...

Maybe it doesn't.

The fact that am using a computer which consumes 1 KWh of electricity every 4 hours; something...thats gradually putting an end to the careers of many "not-so-prolific-anymore" coal mines and "not-so-full" water reserviors, is bad enough.

Let's spare the coconut.

And why should a blog bother about an "auspicious start"?
What lofty goals does it aim to achieve?

Fine, it's an electronic diary of feelings, opinions, point of views, poetry, stories (or any other sharply defined category, imposed on free human expression by academics)

So what is supposed to come out of that diary writing-ism...
(Indeed when i was a kid, writing a diary meant, one waited for father to get at the start of the year, diaries from the office!! A nice CPWD diary...
And if one was lucky, another diary...Bawa Constructions - For Best Quality Pipes and Fittings)

Yeah, so what is supposed to come out of this diary writing-ism...

But why this sudden flurry, to not only write a diary, but to show it too - a very public display of wanting to kiss and telling about the want too?
When a freind chance peeped into my diary 15 years ago, i felt a flush of embarrassment.
What if he crakced my brilliant "1=A, 2=B, 3=C code" to know the name of my crush.

But today I shall write the name and love having written it in the open.
And approximately 10% of the world population can read it - including the person who's name i might write.

What a display of love, or is it love of display...

Anyways, the original question - what's this public forum writing suppposed to achieve.

Answer 1: Let's say reach

Question 2: But to what effect, reach in itself cannot be an end
Answer 2: Reach to alter opinion

Question 3: Whose
Answer 3: The ruled, the ruler

Question 4: Ah, it's village gossip
Answer 4: No, no, serious change can be driven through public opinion

Question 5: Serious change, in who's life
Answer 5: In mine, yours, ours, everyone's

Question 6: And who sets the agenda
Answer 6: We all know what the issues are, don't we

Question 7: Such as
Answer 7: World Peace

Question 8: Terrorism??
Question 9: Environment??
Question 10: Civilisational harmony?

Question 11: Who sets the agenda and who's incharge of providing solutions
Answer 11: Powers that are and powers that be...

Question 12: It's power that runs the world, in a dirty sense - we all know it's love otherwise.
So is that where the answer lies...
Answer 12: Meaning??

Question 13: Hey am the questioning voice, you're the answering voice. how come am giving solutions and you're asking questions??
Answer 13: Relax sir...

Question 14: Yeah, so is it power...it's devolution
Answer 14: But that happened with the internet 10 years ago

Question 15: And could this be it's evolution
Answer 15: Good Question.

Question: 16: Bad Answer!!
